Welcome to our website! We look forward to welcoming you in person. On November 18, 2016 Central Synagogue of Nassau County and Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Emeth officially consolidated, following approval from The New York State Supreme Court.
For more than seventy-five years, Central Synagogue of Nassau County has served individuals and families on the South Shore of Nassau County. We are a dynamic congregation, committed to the philosophy of Reform Judaism. We welcome young persons and elders, individuals and families, Jews by birth and by choice, non-Jewish partners in interfaith couples, gay and straight persons, those who are spiritually settled and persons feeling spiritually restless. We work to make Judaism and our synagogue accessible to those who have special needs and/or disabilities. We include all persons who are willing to commit to the integration of community, worship, study, acts of loving kindness (gemilut hasadim), and repair of the world (tikkun olam). We pursue this with joy and punctuate our communal activities with laughter.
