CSBE student Mitzvah Projects

As part of the Central Synagogue-Beth Emeth B'nai Mitzvah process, each student chooses an individual Mitzvah project.
A Mitzvah project encourages each of our students to connect
to a social action, thus, embracing the concept of Tikkun Olam  (repairing of the world) in a first-hand capacity.

Autumn Wilkins Mitzvah Project
Autumn is collecting items such as food, everyday supplies, medical supplies and toys, for abandoned dogs and cats cared for at Last Hope Animal Rescue
Click Here to see how you can best support her efforts. Please bring items to CSBE, where there will be boxes to collect them.

Mikayla Rose Lonardo Mitzvah Project
Mikayla is collecting shampoo, conditioner, and stuffed animals for Bethany House for her Mitzvah project. As you may know, Bethany House is a homeless shelter for women and children. Mikayla knows that all people should have the right to clean hair. She also hopes that the stuffed animals make the children at Bethany House more comfortable.
Please bring shampoo conditioner and lightly used stuffed animals to CSBE where there will be boxes to collect them.

Callie Mann's Mitzvah Project
Callie is collecting new and gently used clothing for individuals who have been displaced, as a result of the current situation in Israel. Items for men, women, and children, are all needed.
Please use the donation box, currently located outside of the Synagogue office for your donations.

Emily Heit's Mitzvah Project
Callie teamed up with John's Crazy Socks where you can purchase anti-bullying socks. 10% of all sales go to the Long Island Coalition of Anti-Bullying (LICAB) organization which is dedicated to “emphasizing the importance of bully-free communities on Long Island through education, increased awareness and therapeutic outlets”. Click Here to participate
